Being a cat lady is no easy feat. While some people use the term in a derogatory manner as if we're resigned to a spinster's future and kitty litter-covered floors, being a cat-obsessed woman definitely has its challenges. For one, going on trips freely. When I head out for a vacation, I'm forced to give my roommate a long list of instructions that I'm not totally sure he'll pay attention to. It's that or pay a cat sitter to check in on my babies, and in this economy, that's getting more difficult by the day. There's also the matter of missing one's pet while away. The mere mention of another person's fur baby is enough to inspire pangs in my cat-loving heart. 

The process of dating becomes harder because you have to eliminate people with severe cat allergies from the pool. Let's be real: it ain't gonna work. Then there are the vet bills, opening cans of gross cat food, and the whole matter of catering to their ever-changing taste in toys. It's a lot. But you know what? We love 'em to bits. So here's another hefty helping of cute cat memes for people who are just as obsessed as we are. Here's to the kitties of the world. May they be meme'd in perpetuity.
